Richard Hoang
Richard is deeply committed to securing the best possible outcome for every client he represents. He brings an empathetic approach to each matter helping clients navigate some of life’s most personal and challenging moments.
Richard's practice includes Wills and Estates, Family Law, Criminal Law, and Contracts. He assists clients with estate planning, guides families through separation, advises on contractual and small‑business matters, and represents individuals facing criminal charges.
In the courtroom, Richard is a fearless advocate. He isn’t afraid to take a firm position and fight hard when required. He has appeared as both solicitor and counsel in multiple courts, including the Magistrates Court, the Supreme Court, and the Federal Circuit and Family Courts.

Jacob Casswell
Jacob's practise comprises of Criminal law, family law and small business employment and commercial contracts.
His commitment and passion for the law has taken him across Australia, including the Northern Territory, New South Wales and now South Australia. He has appeared in courts from the Magistrates Court through to the Supreme Court
His experience includes both defence and prosecution work, giving him a balanced understanding of how cases are put together, negotiated, and argued. Jacob has worked across the full spectrum of criminal matters, from everyday charges through to highly complex cases such as child sexual assault, sexual assault, large‑scale drug supply, and dangerous driving causing death.
Jacob's practise area includes supporting small businesses and employees with practical advice on contracts, workplace issues, and commercial arrangements.

Michelle Cheng
Michelle joined Hoang & Associates as a Legal Administrator in late 2025, bringing strong attention to detail and a thoughtful, organised approach to daily operations. A University of Adelaide graduate with a double degree in Law and Criminology, she is currently completing her Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice as she works toward admission as a solicitor.
In her role, Michelle manages correspondence, maintains client files, and assists with preparing legal documents. She supports the smooth progression of matters across multiple practice areas and is often the first point of contact for client enquiries, ensuring communication is clear, timely, and professional.
Known for her reliability, precision, and willingness to help wherever needed, Michelle is driven by a desire to make the legal system more accessible and empowering for clients.
Outside of work and study, she is a dedicated foodie who loves exploring Adelaide’s vibrant café and restaurant scene with friends and family.
